Links to other types of sound therapy Regarding these links, I consulted them before making my decisions to pursue Dynamic Listening as a client, and later as a practitioner. I didn't find it easy to sort out what was 'true', sensational, false, or even all the distinctions between the different therapies. I have since gained more understanding and am happy to share that with you in a conversation. All of the links below are to therapies which have grown out of Tomatis' work. That doesn't mean they operate the same way, however. (Ah, if only it could be simple...) www.advancedbrain.com/products.asp (for The Listening Program)
Finally You will find criticisms of Sound Therapies based on the work of Tomatis if you are researching enough. Many of the criticisms relate to the lack of scientifically valid, controlled studies. I have asked about this, and more than once received the answer that it costs lots of money to do research that meets the criteria inferred by "scientific". The complexities of research design will sometimes conflict with the needs of people who seek out this work. Practitioners also tend not to be research based, other than compiling statistics based on their own clients and experience. Nonetheless, you will find mention of some research studies by following this link: www.dynamiclistening.com/research-studies.cfm Like many people, I return to the benefits that I received, and/or that I heard about via my own research. The stories are anecdotal. There are many, many, many stories of effective results. If you dive into the auditory integration website above, you will find criticism of Tomatis that comes from Berard (auditory integration training) and practitioners who follow his method. I have looked into this and am happy to share with you what I found out. Essentially, I have a different perspective than they do.

| It is easy to get overwhelmed with information, and to find oneself stuck, confused or frustrated. Some people need to go through this phase. Others skip all the info and follow their intuition. Others may give up and not do anything. Feel free to contact Robert if you need questions answered, or support to make a decision. | ||
